Me as an Artist

I discovered stained glass art around five years ago and have been fascinated by this craft ever since.

I am self-taught and was fortunate enough to receive some glass and tools as gifts when I started. From there, I just kept going, driven by my curiosity and ideas – exploring all the possibilities glass has to offer, and creating something truly unique.

In the beginning, I worked from home, but for over a year and a half now, I’ve been sharing a studio with two other artists based in Hamburg.

I really love working with my creative mind. I also enjoy painting – mostly abstract and colorful floral pieces. I’ve found that art reflects a lot about myself from various perspectives. I like how different designs can offer different viewpoints, like a lamp with multiple sides.

The characteristics and handling of glass – its colors, shapes, and the process itself – are just as revealing as the designs and the endless creative possibilities.

I’m a trained sports therapist and a licensed psychotherapist (HPP). Working in this field means spending a lot of time interacting with people, understanding their perspectives, and supporting them in their personal growth.

It’s inspiring for me to see what people create when they find their own way. I’m always impressed by how individual mindsets and creativity come to life during my workshops.

For me, this art represents a certain kind of freedom – the opportunity to bring something deeply personal into the world. You can truly create your idea and shape it in glass with your hands. Just as much as I believe in personal creativity, I believe in simplicity and in the powerful act of creating.

I like the idea that the artist and their art are not separate.
